Arrogant Frog

One of the recent wines I have sampled was a French wine called Arrogant Frog.  While I was cooking my dinner, I let the bottle decant, and then poured myself a small glass.  I found the first glass to be insanely bitter and far too boozy for my liking.  Once my dinner was done, and I sat down to very nice cremini encrusted rare tenderloin with red wine vinaigrette salad, it took on a whole new life.  Perhaps it simply needed to air out a bit more, or perhaps my palate needed to open up a bit.  My steak had lots of cracked peppercorns and a really coarse finishing salt, and this wine rolled nicely over both of those flavours.  I was very impressed, and finished the bottle after my meal.

Were I the type to rate things, I would give it a 7/10.
